Man accused of drink-drive hat-trick

A 32-year-old man is due to appear in court later this month for allegedly drink driving on three separate occasions within 16 hours at Rainbow Beach.

The man was first pulled over just after midnight on Friday on Rainbow Beach Road and allegedly had a blood alcohol reading more than four times the legal limit.

He was then stopped on the same road about 9:30am (AEST) on Saturday and 3:30pm on Saturday and was allegedly well over the limit.

The Brisbane man is due to appear in the Gympie Magistrates Court in mid-August on five charges.
