NUMEROUS arrests have been made during a weekend road safety operation by Gold Coast police.
As part of Operation Pyramid, which ran Friday and Saturday nights, police conducted 1142 random breath tests resulting in 29 arrests including three driving under the influence, 19 driving with an excessive blood alcohol concentration, four disqualified or unlicensed drivers and two vehicle impounds.
A total of 27 infringement notices were also issued.
During the operation, 22 drivers were subject to roadside drug testing, with two testing positive.
